Altar Servers
All boys and girls who have received their first Holy Communion are invited to join our Altar Server Program, which has been a storied ministry at the parish for many years. Our newest servers are welcomed into the program at our annual Investiture Mass. 99% of our servers stick with the program through their senior year of high school and are honored with an Honor Mass in August. Lectors
Do you have a love for the scriptures and enjoy public speaking? They consider becoming a lector at our weekend Masses! If you are interested in becoming a lector please contact Chris Mandle via email or at (309) 738-5967.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHCs)
All EMHC’s are chosen by the pastor. We don’t have a sign-up or volunteer opportunity for this ministry per Diocesan statutes and the vetting process of those selected.
If there are current EMHC’s willing to visit our homebound parishioners and those in the hospital, we are in need of help in this ministry now. Please contact the parish office today at (309) 794-0660 if you can help.
Sacristans
Interested in learning more about the liturgy and preparing for Mass? Then consider becoming a sacristan for our weekday and/or weekend Masses. This ministry requires arriving early for Mass and preparing the altar, books, offertory gifts and more. Interested persons should contact Chris Mandle via email or at (309) 738-5967.
Choir
They say that he/she who sings, prays twice! We would love to pack our choir loft with heavenly voices, and if you can hold .a tune, you’re just the right person for us! Consider joining our choir and singing at our Saturday or Sunday Masses with fellow parishioners. Interested persons should contact Trevor Loes via email or at (414) 217-0354.
Greeters
The most important thing we can do for visitors and guests is greet them with a smile and an official welcome on behalf of our parish family. If you’re friendly, out-going, and don’t mind arriving early to Mass, please prayerfully consider being a greeter at one of our weekend Masses. Ushers
Consider helping us at the weekend Masses as we take up the Offertory collection. People of all ages are welcome to help with this ministry - especially children! Contact Chris Mandle via email or at (309) 738-5967 if you want to be added to the weekend team.
Funeral Liturgy Ministry
It’s often difficult to find lectors, greeters, EMHC’s and altar servers for funerals because they usually occur in the morning and during the week when most people are working. If you would be willing to be added to our call list for help during these liturgies please contact Chris Mandle via email or at (309) 738-5967.
